I have been a big fan of the New Look tall range for some time now. Not only are the clothes incredible value but it also means us tall girls can find clothes in fashion at the same time as everyone else rather than waiting a year for them to hit the tall retailers. I have listed below the reasons why New Look Tall is my go to shop at the moment along with some of my favourite items.
The sun is shining so it’s time to put away those winter boots and get yourself some spring shoes! I have been searching the big shoe brands for a few weeks now and have settled on a beautiful pair of cream moccasins but thought I’d share with you my favourites that I found along the way.
Firstly for those of you lucky enough to have UK size 9 feet then you have to check out the huge range that New Look have at the moment, you can see their range of loafers in size 9 here. However my favourite have to be these patent mint green (several other colours available) loafers for £19.99, just a shame they haven’t branched out into size10 yet.
For those of us feeling left out there are plenty of lovely shoes out there for bigger feet. If you have wide feet I would recommend giving Evans a try, again they have a huge range which you can see here. They have a great selection of casual pumps like these skater pumps currently only £14 in the sale. Continue reading Spring shoes for big feet in 2015
As the cold winter has set in I have been looking at cosy slippers to keep our big feet warm :-). They make a great Christmas present for your big footed loved ones too. I used to wear the ugliest mens slippers to keep my feet warm, but in recent years the retailers have seen the gap in the market and are finally making lovely warm girly slippers in bigger sizes. Don’t forget to check out the latest offers and sales on my Latest Retailers page before you make your purchase.
Evans have these lovely Fairisle boots with a fluffy lining for just £16, they go up to a UK10. – NO LONGER IN STOCK
Tall Girls UK are great for those of you with bigger feet, they go up to a UK12 / US14 They have these lovely boots for £29.
Im of an age now (27) where wedding invitations in my letterbox are as common as bills, and quite often cost me more in outfits alone. I love a good wedding but shudder at the thought of having to piece together a matching outfit that’s long enough. I’ve put together 3 top tips for wedding outfits for tall girls, stick with these and the process should be a lot less painful.
Shoes are key. So many times now I have focused on buying the perfect dress only to discover I cannot find shoes that go in my size. These days I try to find a dress in a solid colour that will go with the basic shoes colours (black white tan) alternatively a pattern with one of these colours in the mix.
2. Midi dresses are the way to go. A midi dress from pretty much any shop will fall at a lovely length on long legs. Recently I have bought several midi dresses from Asos that sit just below the knee on me, the key thing to look out for is that the waist line isn’t too defined as this is where you may struggle with fit.
3. Wear a big hat. Like bags us tall girls can pull off any sort of hat in fact the bigger the better. Personally I hire mine from the local millinery but you can also pick up bargain hats at charity shops
