My struggles to buy shoes on the highstreet started at a young age. I have a very traumatic memory of heading down to Clarks with my mum to buy my ‘magic key’ shoes for school. I skipped into the shop put my foot on the cold measure machine only to be told I had outgrown the childrens section. Aged 8 I was lead back downstairs to the leather adult section and shoe shopping was never to be the same again.
I was a little skeptical about patterned trousers and joggers when they first came into fashion. I decided to give them a try. I am in love and about to order another pair! What is not to love, not only are they fashiable, they are flattering and as comfy as pajamas! So within this blog I will share with you my fouvite outfit and also several other pairs that are likely to be making an appearance in my wardrobe soon.
I have teamed these trousers with a simple black T from Asos, my favourite new sandals from La Redoute (I have them in 3 colours) and a statement necklace from Accessorise.
Now bikinis is never something I’ve struggled to buy but swimsuits are another story! I have been known to spend a lot of money on a ‘long’ swimsuit only to find its no longer than in any other shop! So I’ve done some research and compiled a list of places to buy your swimming costumes along with my favorites this year. These are the retailers I found to stock long/tall swimwear, if you click on the link it will take you straight to the swimwear page. Continue reading Tall Swimwear
The sun is shining so it’s time to put away those winter boots and get yourself some spring shoes! I have been searching the big shoe brands for a few weeks now and have settled on a beautiful pair of cream moccasins but thought I’d share with you my favourites that I found along the way.
Firstly for those of you lucky enough to have UK size 9 feet then you have to check out the huge range that New Look have at the moment, you can see their range of loafers in size 9 here. However my favourite have to be these patent mint green (several other colours available) loafers for £19.99, just a shame they haven’t branched out into size10 yet.
For those of us feeling left out there are plenty of lovely shoes out there for bigger feet. If you have wide feet I would recommend giving Evans a try, again they have a huge range which you can see here. They have a great selection of casual pumps like these skater pumps currently only £14 in the sale. Continue reading Spring shoes for big feet in 2015
1. Pick key items that you need/want before you start looking.
In the January sales i usually go for high value winter items like coats, jackets and boots. Last year I got a pair of long leather riding boots for less than half price. For me its not worth looking at the low value items that come up all year round unless you really enjoy sale shopping.
2. Don’t wait to hear about the sales weeks after they’ve started.
Sign up to your favourite shop email lists and then you know you’re the first to know about the sales.
3. Don’t get bogged down with items that are easy to buy on the high street all year round.
Check clothing is a must have this winter and the high street retailers haven’t let us tall girls down! There are loads of check items out there including some lovely blanket scarfs and shirts that can be found outside of the tall ranges. Here are my top picks from the highstreet.
